Comments/contents:
Internationalization has become commonplace in many industries. Behavior and communication rules have largely established themselves in a state called "hyperculture" in such a way that it is possible to arrive at joint results. The underlying potential of different worlds of experience is therefore often underestimated. In the area of personnel development, a deeper understanding of intercultural issues is an important key competency in order to expose potentials as well as to identify potential mistakes at an early stage.
Learning objectives:
The aim of the seminar is to combine theoretical models with practical experience, to get acquainted with methods of intercultural trainings, to integrate cultural self-reflection into one's own actions and to develop the ability to support intercultural cooperation in a sustainable way.
Didactic concept:
Through the use of simulations and role-plays, practical exercises and group work, the workshop sensitizes participants to culture-specific characteristics in communication and behavior. The knowledge of cultural differences promotes the ability to be flexible in cultural overlapping situations and to create normality in unfamiliar situations.
