Vorgehen (Strategy):
The course is intended to train students such as they achieve an A2 - B1 European competence level for Romanian language. Consequently, it focuses on basic phonetic, lexical and grammatical acquisitions that permit to the student to communicate in Romanian. These will be acquired by listening to the teacher’s pronunciation and also to audio recordings of native Romanian speakers, by conversation, reading and writing exercises, both in the classroom and as homework. Also, a common practice during the course will be to point to comparisons between the pronunciation, lexical items and syntactical structures of Romanian and those of other Romance languages such as Italian or French. Several support materials will be offered, such as an interactive e-learning CD (free Romanian Euromobil Project obtained from: http://www.solki.jyu.fi/english/publications/Euromobil/RO.htm) and slides made by the teacher for each course.
The evaluation will consist of two parts: 40% of the grade will consist of a presentation of a short text in Romanian, written by each student on a self-chosen topic and the rest of 60% will consist of a final written test from the topics and grammatical notions presented during the course.
