Lernziel:
This course has two complementary objectives: to be familiar with and understand the most important theoretical macroeconomic relationships, and students will learn the tools and techniques to formulate and solve dynamic models. This module enables students to analyse macroeconomic problems for both closed and open economies.

Vorgehen:
Parts of the course will be delivered as a traditional lecture. The methods and techniques taught will be practiced partly in class, partly as take home exercises. There is an accompanying lecture "Methods of Macroeconomic Analysis" at the end of the semester, which is intended to provide the students with the current tools, questions and developments in macroeconomics.

Literatur:
The main text used will be Sørensen and Whitta-Jacobsen, Introducing Advanced Macroeconomics, 2nd ed. McGraw-Hill, 2010. 

This text will be supplemented with other literature which is announced during the course.
