The course introduces fundamental concepts and applications of business process management and conveys them with the help of relevant techniques, methods and tools. The starting point is the concept of process maturity, as well as the process life cycle. The lecture covers selected topics in depth, whilst the exercises provide the opportunity to apply the materials independently in both theory and practice.

Information about the examination:

• The examination will normally be taken in form of a written exam (90 min)
  
• Exam details will be announced at the beginning of the module
  
• Admission to the exam requires course achievements, which will be communicated at the start of the module
  
• The language of the exam is the same as the lecture: English
  

• Attendance for the introduction lecture in the second lecture week is mandatory.
  
• Attandance for elearning parts in the following lecture weeks is not provided.
  
• Attendance for exercises is strongly recommended.
  

• Communication with students generally occurs via the Stine system.
  
• Please ensure that you are registered in Stine prior to the first lecture week.
  
• Please ensure that you can receive and read the messages which relate to the lecture.
  
• Medical certificates have to be submitted immediately and without request (generally within 3 days).
