Kommentare/ Inhalte: The accompanying exercises are of particular importance for the understanding of the basic concepts (i.e., mathematical models, methods, numerical algorithms) which are introduced in the lectures. It is essential to actively participate in the exercise classes. During the exercise classes, selected problems, as given in the biweekly exercises sheets and solved by the students, will be discussed. Further discussions concerning relevant topics are encouraged.

Vorgehen: Problems for the exercises classes will be provided every second week through exercise sheets. The solutions to the exercises will be presented by the students during the exercise classes.
