Kommentare/ Inhalte: Social Psychologists assume that all individual experience and behavior is fundamentally influenced by the presence of others. In this introductory lecture, I will present and discuss seminal theories and empirical findings from various domains of social interaction. Central topics are person perception, self-concept, social identity, categories and groups, social roles, norms and culture, attitude formation and change, interpersonal attractiveness, aggression, prosocial behavior, and cooperation. The goal of this lecture is to give you an overview of the history, theories, methods, empirical findings and application values of social psychology.
The three Uni Live lectures focus on the social psychology of the Self and research on attitudes and behavior.
