Lernziel:
Goal: To increase understanding of mechanisms of and trends in urban transformation as well as issues connected to social sustainability and gentrification in urban and rurban districts. This includes cases from Vaasa and beyond, as well as local examples in Hamburg. Understanding of the use of popular culture and signage to illustrate and clarify urban and social transformation and enhance citizen learning processes. Understanding of what makes places contested, and the challenges for civic learning processes in transforming urban and rurban environments.
