An example topic is active camera control, based on image analysis, with the goal of maximizing the information gain of the robot. This is the second part of the course that started in the previous semester.
Learning objectives:
Practical knowledge in implementing state-of-the-art methods in computer vision with real-world applications.
Organizing project tasks and working in a project group.
Reporting project results and giving demonstrations.
Didactic concept:
The project language is English. Programming tasks will be mainly done in C++ and/or Python, using image processing, robotics, and deep learning libraries such as skimage, OpenCV, ROS, and Tensorflow. Profound knowledge of object oriented programming is mandatory. Knowledge of Python and/or C++ is very helpful.
The content during meetings will be decided dependent on the selected project topic.
