Course Description: How are news stories portrayed in different types of media around the world? Why are some stories trending while others are being ignored? We will discuss news as it’s happening around the world and explore how social media has changed the way we produce and consume news. Course material will be based on articles and videos from news sources. Students will be required to read/ watch an article or video and prepare vocabulary exercises each week. The course will be conducted through a mixture of Zoom and Unicommsy. You will be sent a Zoom link at least a day before the seminar starts.
