Comments/contents: The seminar allows students to explore significant Buddhist texts from a hermeneutical perspective. The focus is on texts that deal with peace and justice issues and support the promotion of openness towards religious and non-religious people. The course also refers to texts from the Hamburg education plan. It adapts flexibly to the interests of the participants to facilitate a dialogue between Buddhist teachings and contemporary challenges in the educational context. Although this seminar is also suitable for student teachers, it targets anyone interested in the basic teachings of Buddhism and those who would like to gain deeper insights into topics such as peace, justice, and interreligious dialogue by reading and interpreting its key texts.
